An anti-person is characterized by behaviors that prevents one from having a flourishing social life. They may desire connections with others, but will least likely succeed just because of their maladaptive habits and inclinations.

Signs of an Anti-Person

  1. Rarely starts a conversation unless they require assistance.
  2. Barely engages in humorous conversations with others. Often fake laughs.
  3. Looks at phone often to avoid conversations
  4. Sometimes does not respond to greetings
  5. Does not greet others
  6. Does not voluntarily assist others due to the fear of being judged
  7. Avoids any display of intimacy
  8. Interests often involved sad/edgy tones
  9. Does not leave their comfort zone; resulting, to reinforced bad behaviors
  10. Secretly hates everyone. Simultaneously does not take accountability and self-hatred/blame (partially performative).
  11. Can sometimes be misleadingly altruistic—demonstrates actions perceived as ‘selfless’ but with selfish intent
  12. Frequent attempts to appear sad (due to self-pity addiction), competent (due to narcissism), cultured (due to narcissism), awkward (due to underdeveloped social skills), or heartless (due to selfishness, cowardliness, anxiousness).
